Welcome to Iva Yyoga.
Why do you want to practice yoga with me?
Because my teaching style is educated and empowers you. Rather than just teaching you certain poses. I want you understand the learning process involved, so that you learn to understand and listen to your own body.

Enhance Your Life with Iva

I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I am a Yoga Teacher and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). I have been teaching yoga for more than 15 years in Hong Kong and the USA. I have completed over 2000 hours of yoga teacher training and more than 3,000 teaching hours. Additionally, I have academic qualifications in Kinesiology, therapeutic option (B.S), focusing on human movement, injury prevention, and biomechanics. My love for learning also led me to study how to apply science into yoga and I continue to remain open to being a student of life.

As a cancer survivor, I began to look inside this wonderful container—my body—and to see it from the inside out. I found out that combined yoga practice and meditation help me by alleviating various symptoms and side effects commonly experienced after cancer treatment and they became essential tools in my healing journey. Yoga and meditation continue to bring peace, balance, and gratitude into my everyday life.

My specialized teaching training background includes:
- Yin Yoga (Acupressure, Myofascial Release, Chinese Medicine & Meridian)
- Chair Yoga
- Prenatal Yoga
- Meditation & Mindfulness
- ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist
- Certified Flexibility Coach
- Certified Sound Healer
- AASFP / BASI Pilates - Mat Work

Yoga is more than a practice-it's a way of life. For me, the real yoga begins when I step off the mat. It's about how I move through the world with awareness, compassion and presence.
