Welcome to Ivayyoga.
Why do you want to practice yoga with me?
Because my teaching style is educated and empowers you. Rather than just teaching you certain poses. I want you understand the learning process involved, so that you learn to understand and listen to your own body.

Enhance Your Life with Iva

I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I am a certified E-RYT500 & YACEP yoga teacher. I have been teaching yoga for more than ten years in Hong Kong and the USA. I have completed a 500-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training, Prenatal Yoga, and Chair yoga. I am also a Mat-Pilates Instructor, Certified Exercise Physiologist, Certified flexibility Coach, and Certified Sound Healer.
Additionally, I have academic qualifications in Kinesiology, therapeutic option (B.S), focusing on human movement, injury prevention, and biomechanics. My love for learning also led me to study how to apply science into yoga and I continue to remain open to being a student of life.

As a cancer survivor, I began to look inside this wonderful container—my body—and to see it from the inside out. I found out that combined the acupressure with yoga practice can help me by alleviating various symptoms and side effects commonly experienced after cancer treatment, such as pain, nausea, fatigue, hot flashes, anxiety, insomnia, and peripheral neuropathy, effectively improving my overall quality of life by managing these issues without relying solely on medication; acupressure does this by stimulating specific points on the body to balance energy flow according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles.

I continue to study an Advance Yin Yoga Teacher Training Diploma with Jo Phee and an Acupressure Mastery Program, focusing on acupressure, meridian, five element theory, and the powerful Ancient Healing Energy System because I want to apply this knowledge into my practice and also imply in my teaching.
